Application Engineering, Houston, TX

Scope: Application and Automation Engineering

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design AC drive packages and enclosures
• Create bill of materials for projects
• Perform start-up on projects at customer sites. Program AC drives to customer requirements on site and insure that equipment is operating as expected.
• Effectively communicate with sales force, back office personnel, and customers.
  

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience designing AC drive packages and enclosures.
• Engineering background required.
  

Skills:

• Intermediate-to-strong CAD knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to provide quick turnarounds in a fast pace environment.

Education:
Electrical Engineering degree is a plus

We are seeking an accomplished Outside Sales Representative to generate a high volume of opportunities to targeted companies in the Eugene, OR general trading area and to progress these opportunities through the sales cycle, resulting in the closure of orders for both renewal and new business.

Requirements include:

• Strong technical background.
• Minimum 5 years experience in industrial pumps, seals, and fluid handling required and/or minimum 5 years in applications of electrical systems that involve motors, drives, encoders, controls and other electrical components (transformers, switchgear).
• Enthusiastic and assertive personality.
• Proven time management and people skills.

Candidates must also have worked in the Eugene, OR general trading area with 5-10 years minimum selling experience into industrial markets, specifically into one of the following verticals: industrial manufacturing, high tech processing, steel, pulp and paper, marine and ship building, power and hydro plants, food and beverage or municipalities.
